Abbott is back for a full 22-episode season, like good old-fashioned network TV. Going into the new school year, Janine and Gregory’s relationship is out in the open. While it gets some sweet screen time, there’s also the matter of a new golf course opening next to the school. All of this is great, but now we’re waiting for that cross-over with It’s Always Sunny…
In Lonely Planet , Katherine (Laura Dern) isn’t necessarily looking for a 6’5″ man in finance with a trust fund and blue eyes, but she finds one in Owen (Liam Hemsworth). Katherine is on a writer’s retreat in Morocco trying to get over a creative block and a divorce when she meets Owen. This film is one of many in the new trend of age-gap romances along with The Idea of You , A Family Affair , and the upcoming Babygirl .
The American series Citadel gets an Italian spinoff with Citadel: Diana , which takes place in Milan, 2030. Like its progenitor, it’s produced by the Russo brothers. It stars Matilda De Angelis as a double agent trying to solve her parents’ murder. (She’s also in the excellent The Law According to Lidia Poët , which is in our list of the best foreign-language shows on Netflix; it has a new season coming later this month.)
The many iterations of Lara Croft have been far from conflict-free. It’s too early to tell how well this animated series will be received, but it seems promising. Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft takes place after the Survivor series of games and Lara (voiced by Hayley Atwell) is ready to leave it all behind…until a theft of one of her most precious belongings pulls her back in.
If you’ve been waiting for a new M. Night Shyamalan film ever since Trap , well you didn’t have to wait long. Shyamalan produced this movie about how a town reacts to the disappearance of an eight-year-old girl that echoes a similar case years earlier. Time is a flat circle or maybe it is a loop.
This four-part series is based on a true story. A woman becomes the center of a group of survivors of the 2015 Bataclan terrorist attack in Paris, but her missing friend might never have existed.
It’s the season for a horror series and Teacup is here to fill that space. It takes place in a rural Georgia town plagued by strange goings-on. It premieres with two episodes this week and new episodes arrive every Thursday.

My title is Senior Features Writer, which is a license to write about absolutely anything if I can connect it to technology (I can). I’ve been at PCMag since 2011 and have covered the surveillance state, vaccination cards, ghost guns, voting, ISIS, art, fashion, film, design, gender bias, and more. You might have seen me on TV talking about these topics or heard me on your commute home on the radio or a podcast. Or maybe you’ve just seen my Bernie meme.
I strive to explain topics that you might come across in the news but not fully understand, such as NFTs and meme stocks. I’ve had the pleasure of talking tech with Jeff Goldblum, Ang Lee, and other celebrities who have brought a different perspective to it. I put great care into writing gift guides and am always touched by the notes I get from people who’ve used them to choose presents that have been well-received. Though I love that I get to write about the tech industry every day, it’s touched by gender, racial, and socioeconomic inequality and I try to bring these topics to light.
