Camila Cabello picked up some sodies at Tescos to bring into the BBC Live Lounge, covering Addison Rae’s “Diet Pepsi.” But it seems like it might be forbidden across the pond to call the drink by its government name, as the YouTube video is named “Diet P” instead of the full title of the song. Does the Live Lounge have some sort of secret deal with Big Cola? It might be because there’s no advertisement on public stations, but c’mon it’s just the name of the song. Despite their policy, the cover is an ad for selling moody sadness in a bottle. Cabello brings a more nostalgic take when she sings, “When we drive in your car, I’m your baby (so sweet)/Losing all my innocеnce in the backseat.” It echos the seriousness and emotion of C,XOXO; after all, Cabello is in business attire for the occasion.
