Could A Specsavers Model Be The New Coronation Street Baddie

Coronation Street has given us some unforgettable characters over the years including Vera Duckworth, but it’s the villains who often make the biggest impact.

Richard Hillman is often the first name that springs to mind when we think about Coronation Street villains. Portrayed by Brian Capron, Richard became known as “Killer Corrie” due to his shocking crimes, including multiple murders. The most unforgettable moment was when he tried to kill his entire family by driving them into a canal.

Pat Phelan is another villain that comes to the top of our minds followed by Alan Bradley and Jez Quigley. But one actor/model who believes he could be the next Coronation Street villain is Tommy Vilés.

Tommy Vilés who is an Award-winning actor and international male model has his sights on joining Cobbles. The Specsavers model would love to join Coronation Street as a baddie before Helen Worth leaves the show after 50 years.

So, what makes Specsavers model the ideal candidate the be the next Coronation Street Villian? Well! He has the looks, and he’s a great actor, but who is Tommy Vilés? Let’s have a chat with the actor and Model to find out more.

Interviewer: Pleasure to meet you, Tommy! For those who might not be familiar, could you introduce yourself briefly?

Tommy: Thanks! I’m Tommy Vilés, an actor primarily and do a bit of smiling in pictures from time to time.

Interviewer: Modelling and acting—two exciting worlds you’re a part of! If you had to choose one, which passion resonates with you more?

Tommy: Ah that’s tough! I was in London for 8 years modelling full-time & really enjoyed the experience I had with that. Acting is my fave though. Character works’ good fun.

Interviewer: You’ve been in the game for a while now then, Tommy. What’s your modelling journey been like, and could you share a standout moment from your career?

Tommy: I dipped my toe when I was 16, got spotted at a Job Fair *laughs*. I was looking for work. 10 years later I signed with an agent. Booking Specsavers is up there.

Interviewer: Acting seems to have captured your heart. When did you first get the bug, and did you go through formal training?

Tommy: Making the family laugh doing impressions got me interested. I did a couple years in college but mostly learnt on the job. I’m always up for a workshop or learning new things.

Interviewer: Your debut acting gig, ‘Darker Shades of Elise’ must have been exciting! What was it, and how did it shape your journey as an actor?

Tommy: *smiles* Yeah it was an interesting shoot. I learnt a lot and it set me up for bigger roles. I’m not where I want to be but I’m hopeful for the future and I’m grateful for where I am.

Interviewer: Coronation Street fans, rejoice! If Corrie gave you a call for the next big baddie, what would you say?

Tommy: I’d say… Where do I sign? Let’s go! *smiles*

Interviewer: And if you could write your character’s storyline, who would you be related to, and what mischief would you stir up?

Tommy: I’d play a womanizer with a gangster edge to him. Every badboy needs a shady past and be a little bit charming.

Interviewer: Looking ahead, what’s next on your agenda?

Tommy: Writing scripts is my passion right now. I won’t say too much, but exciting times ahead.
