Nothing feeds the stomach and the soul quite like comfort food. Its stick-to-your-ribs deliciousness can satisfy your hunger unlike anything else. And when you find a homestyle restaurant in New Mexico that offers such delicious food that you’ll want more and more, you’ll certainly be a repeat customer! One place offering some of the most incredible comfort food in the Albuquerque area is Christy Mae’s Restaurant. Believe me, after one visit, you’ll want to keep coming back.

If comfort food is something you crave, there’s one homestyle restaurant in Albuquerque you have to try. Christy Mae’s Restaurant has been open since 1982 and is still family-owned to this day.

When you come to Christy Mae’s, you’ll feel like you’re dining at home. With its friendly welcoming service and home-cooked food, you’ll feel comfortable here from the moment you walk in the door.

From its Green Chile Cheeseburger to its Country Fair Blue Ribbon Burger, each made with a half-pound of choice Angus ground beef and served with a side, you will not leave hungry.

Comfort food is what Christy Mae’s Restaurant does best.

There’s a part of the menu that offers delectable specialty sandwiches like the Sheepherder, made with a flour tortilla filled with corned beef, green chile, Swiss cheese, lettuce, and tomato.

And then there’s the Beef Stack Sandwich (pictured here). This unique sandwich is made with roast beef, green chile, lettuce, and tomato all on sourdough bread. Yum!

The Albuquerque Turkey is perhaps the best-known item on the menu and it’s as delicious as it sounds!

One of my absolute favorite comfort foods is fish ‘n’ chips. Served as a special on Fridays, this is another delicious comfort food dish that will make you want seconds, thirds, or more!
