Installation of Tube fittings and precautions for installation

Installation of Tube fittings and precautions for installation

● Installation:

1. Saw off a suitable length of seamless steel pipe and remove the burrs at the port. The end face of the pipe should be perpendicular to the axis, and the angle tolerance should not be greater than 0.5°. If the pipe needs to be bent, the length of the straight line from the end of the pipe to the bend must not be less than three times the length of the nut.

2. Put the nut and sleeve on the seamless steel pipe. Pay attention to the direction of the nut and tube and do not install them backwards.

3. Apply lubricating oil to the threads and ferrules of the pre-assembled fittings body, insert the pipe into the fittings body (the pipe must be inserted to the bottom) and tighten the nut by hand.

4. Tighten the nut until the sleeve blocks the pipe. This turning point can be felt by the increase in tightening torque (pressure point).

5. After reaching the pressure point, tighten the compression nut another 1/2 turn.

6. Remove the pre-assembled joint body and check the insertion of the cutting edge of the ferrule. The visible protruding strip must fill the space on the end face of the ferrule. The ferrule can rotate slightly, but cannot move axially.

7. For final installation, apply lubricating oil to the threads of the joint body in actual installation, and tighten the compression nut to match it until the tightening force can be felt increases. Then tighten it 1/2 turn to complete the installation.

● Repeat installation

All tube fittings can be reassembled multiple times, as long as the parts are undamaged and clean.

1. Insert the pipe into the fittings body until the sleeve is close to the cone surface of the joint body, and tighten the nut by hand.

2. Use a wrench to tighten the nut until the tightening torque increases sharply, then tighten it 20°-30°.

● Check

The tube can be removed to check whether the assembly is satisfactory: there should be even slight bulges on the tube at the end of the ferrule. The ferrule cannot slide back and forth, but is allowed to rotate slightly.

● Cause of leakage

1. The tube is not inserted all the way.

2. The nut is not tightened in place.

3. If the nut is tightened too much, the sleeve and tube will be severely deformed.
