Six months after Andrew Garfield was seen holding hands with a self-described witch, Dr. Kate Tomas has confirmed on Instagram that they are no longer together.
According to Us Weekly, someone commented on a recent Instagram post Tomas shared about spiritually guided meditation asking about her relationship status with Garfield. “We broke up months ago,” she responded, “but I’m sure he will be happy to know that he is loved🥰❤️.” (The comment appears to have since been deleted.)
Tomas and Garfield were first seen together in April when they exited a Malibu café holding hands after a double date with Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham. Tomas, who is a self-described “philosopher and spiritual advisor,” spent a lot of their relationship fending off accusations that she used magic to seduce her celebrity boyfriend. For me, this would put a real damper on the whole “dating Andrew Garfield” thing, but they seem to have enjoyed themselves — they were photographed on a few little walks looking happy and in love.
It’s not clear exactly when Garfield and Tomas broke up, but he appears to have been keeping himself busy in the past few months. To promote his new tearjerker, We Live in Time, he channeled all his creative energy into procuring a life-size cardboard cutout of his co-star Florence Pugh to bring with him to premieres she can’t attend. He also filmed a Chicken Shop Date with his partner in painfully thick sexual tension, Amelia Dimoldenberg — an event I am sure had nothing to do with the end of his relationship. After watching their very flirty episode, I hope Tomas’s chakras are well fortified.
