How is the world’s longest divorce going? Not well. Last week, Us Weekly reported that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s ongoing legal battle over their joint winery, Château Miraval, is headed to trial. Now sources close to Pitt are dropping petty items about Jolie in the tabloids. Mature!
Over the weekend, Jolie brought the former couple’s son Knox Jolie-Pitt to the 2024 Governors Awards in Hollywood. The 16-year-old, who rarely makes red carpet appearances, looked thrilled to be at his mom’s side as they posed for photos at the Dolby Theatre. But a source told “Page Six” Wednesday that Pitt is convinced his ex-wife only brought Knox “to push his buttons.”
“Brad finds it a bit coincidental that a judge signed off on the Miraval trial just days before Knox joined Angelina at the Governors Awards,” the source said. “So he really questions her motive for bringing Knox.”
However, a separate source contradicted this story, telling the tabloid that Knox is the one who wanted to accompany Jolie to the event. “Angelina felt so proud having Knox by her side,” the second individual said. “He typically prefers to stay out of the spotlight, and Angelina respects that decision, but he asked if he could join her, and of course she was thrilled that he wanted to be there.”
While a date for the trial hasn’t yet been set, it seems safe to say things could get a whole lot pettier in the meantime.
