Treasurium Debuts Novelty Collectible Banknote Featuring the Italian Stallion “Rocky Balboa” Designed for Sylvester Stallone Group and Sly Stallone Store

Stallone banknote is the first collectible of its kind released in the USA by the maker of high-end fantasy banknotes and coin collectibles.

AMSTERDAM – August 23, 2024 – Treasurium, manufacturer of novelty collectible banknotes and coins, today announced the debut of a banknote featuring the character of “Rocky Balboa,” the Italian Stallion played by actor Sylvester Stallone in the film Rocky. Made under license from the Sylvester Stallone Group and the Sly Stallone Store, the tribute banknote honors the iconic star of the 1976 film as well as the City of Philadelphia, where the film was shot. The Rocky Balboa banknote is the first American offering from the Netherlands-based Treasurium.

The tribute fantasy banknote was inspected and graded by PMG International during the MIF World Banknote Money Fair in Maastricht, The Netherlands, receiving 67 out of 70 points for quality and excellence. It offers superior collector’s quality, with premium paper, ink, and an embedded watermark.

“The Rocky Balboa fantasy banknote collectable is printed at a high secured state banknote printing facility, containing security features such as a genuine watermark, microtext, UV fiber, holographic foil and a unique serial number,” said Christian Peterman, CEO of Treasurium.

The film “Rocky” was a breakout hit for Stallone, who wrote the script and starred in the film. More than a movie for many of its fans, “Rocky” is a touchstone in American popular culture. The Rocky Balboa character embodies the dreams of the underdog and the power of commitment and hard work. The banknote celebrates these ideals, which is one reason it is proving so popular with collectors.

The banknote was available for view at the Maastricht Exhibition and Congress Centre (MECC) MIF Paper Money Fair, a well-known destination for collectors and a resource for limited edition, special coins, and banknotes. “Visitors from all around the world came to MECC, searching for a coveted coin or banknote for their collections,” said Dimitri Waltmans, Organizer of MECC.

The banknote is offered at the “Rocky Shop” next to “The Rocky stairs” in Philadelphia.
