For the past few months we’ve been absolutely drowning in Wicked merch, and now we can all agree that things have gotten out of hand — even Mattel (of Barbie fame). The toy company recently had to apologize after accidentally promoting the link for a porn site on the packaging of its Wicked dolls.
hey can someone tell mattel that the website put on their boxes is a porn site 💀💀💀 pic.twitter.com/w20c6ZZLvR

On Sunday, Mattel announced that a “misprint” had been made on the Mattel Wicked collection dolls, which directed customers to the website Wicked.com — a California-based parody porn-production company that boasts “Hollywood-like quality” — instead of WickedMovie.com, the official home page of Jon M. Chu’s long-anticipated musical adaptation. “We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action,” Mattel wrote, advising parents to throw away the packaging or cover up the link. (The doll is for children ages 4 and up.)
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the dolls have been pulled from Target, Walmart, Amazon, and other sellers, but boxes with the misprinted website are being sold on eBay for as much as $800. Now that’s a cash grab.
